My name is Aaron Pollock, as you probably guessed from the header of the page, and I'm a web programmer. I'm originally from Wisconsin, and have since moved out to the California Bay Area. I always loved California, and for years wanted to get away from the horrible cold and snow that is part of life in the midwest. So here I am, and this site will tell you what I'm up to.

My specialties lie in two areas: IT and Web Programming. I'm currently an IT Administrator for a great company called TierraCast up in Santa Rosa, CA. I take care of the servers, the workstations, the software, and the network that keeps it all running together. IT is the field I attended Chippewa Valley Technical College for and graduated with an Associates Degree.

Web Programming was a hobby for me originally, and has become much, much more than that. I am not much of a graphic designer, but once I get a Photoshop/Illustrator/Etc design in my hands, I can convert that thing to some nice, clean, standards-compliant HTML. I love splicing up designs and making them work on the web - Trying to make the site look exactly like the mock up is something I do really well.

I do most of my work with LAMP systems - PHP is my backend of choice, along with mySQL. I've built content-rich sites with amazing backends supporting them, and I've got a few more in the works that'll be launching soon! Check out my projects page to see some of those.
